Giggy's Dad Passes Away
"The father of Ducks goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Claude, passed away Monday morning in Montreal after a lengthy illness. Giguere is likely to back up Jonas Hiller in tonight's game against the New York Rangers at Honda Center.
Giguere is scheduled to leave the team to attend memorial services and miss Friday night's game at the Edmonton Oilers. He is planning to rejoin the Ducks in time for next Monday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. In Giguere's absence, the Ducks will recall an as-yet-unnamed goaltender from their AHL affiliate in Iowa.
Giguere left the Ducks for five days near the end of month to visit Claude in Montreal."

Thanks for putting this up, Plank
I rarely talk about anything from players’ personal lives, because frankly, I don’t pay a lot of attention.
But FYI — the correct term is “Jiggy”. not “Giggy”. At least per my best understanding of the nickname.

I just assumed it Giggy came from Giguere.
So, for future reference, it’s like the Will Smith song?

Yeah, they played Will Smith pretty unapologetically throughout the ‘03 postseason. Still, it’s tough to complain with the results that he was getting.

I can’t tell whether that is one of your sarcastic jokes or a honest to God truth.
Either way, I laughed. Heartily. For minutes Sleek. Minutes.
