Teemu Selanne injures himself on his first shift of the game in Edmonton. No word as of yet as to the extent of the injury, but it looked quite "ketchup-y".

Poor Teemu...
This is totally irrational, but I feel somewhat responsible. A few days before that game, I ordered my first ever Ducks jersey and customized it with his name and number. Now it looks like he’ll probably miss the Jan 20 game (@ Rangers) that I bought the blasted jersey for.

And that’s why you always buy nameless jerseys…
…and then watch as your team changes their colors and logo 2 weeks later.

Nice. I haven’t been to a game at the Honda Center in ages (haven’t lived in SoCal in a while)—do people still wear the old jerseys?
Hm, maybe I should buy a Joe Thorton jersey next. Think it only works if you’re a fan of the team?

Oh yeah
I haven’t been to a game in person in years either but I know that people still wear the old Disney jerseys. It only seems “dated” initially. After then, the jersey becomes “classic” and wearing it is like honoring to the team’s history.
Plus it easily dispells the myth that most Anaheim fans are bandwagoners.
