Sharks Gameday: Day Game
San Jose Sharks (28-4-4) at Minnesota Wild (17-16-2)
Just a quick one today as I'm juggling a few different things on this Winter Classic, erm, New Year's Eve. For some reason, I've actually seen today's game listed at different times, but just to confirm with everyone, it's a 3 PM start out here on the west coast. That means you'll either be listening online while you pretend to work before leaving early or you'll be cozying up with your Center Ice package before New Year's Eve shenanigans.
You can also watch it live on Yahoo. However, if you're in the Bay Area, I believe it detects the physical location of your ISP and blocks you out from there. There are ways around this, though -- I just don't know what they are. But if anyone wants to post this in the comments, I'll add it to the post as an update.
I haven't seen any news of roster changes other than Douglas Murray may be out and Christian Ehrhoff is definitely in. That means that Alexei Semenov and his Glove of Doom may be on the ice. For the Wild, our buddy Owen Nolan is questionable and Marian Gaborik...well, his status is typical Gaborik. As always, late updates are best reported in David Pollak's blog.
Have fun tonight, be safe, get a designated driver and all that stuff. Maybe I'll see you the enjoying indie/new wave/punk DJ night at The Blank Club in San Jose (assuming my wife and I kick this flu that has been dogging us).
Update: BoC readers come through again! You can watch the game live here.

I haven’t watched a game in Yahoo for years, but as I recall it’s pretty easy to get around. You can create a new Yahoo! account with very little information, and so long as you don’t enter a bay-area or Minnesota-area ZIP Code I think you can watch the game as an outsider.
Or maybe the folks at Yahoo! have caught onto that trick, who knows?

You can go here to watch the game. The video should load when the game actually starts, just reload the page.
If that doesn’t work, go here and click on the Sharks game link.
Thanks go to idunno723.
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realized God doesn’t work that way, so I stole one and prayed for forgiveness. - Emo Philips

Mine must be broken
It shows the Sharks losing — that can’t be right.

I'm in the Bay Area
near SFO, but seem to be just outside the no-vid range, so am able to get the Yahoo feeds.
Ever get the feeling we are on a collision course with reality?
