Go Kings.

Prediction: Kings win, 4-3.  Goals by Brown (x2), Boyle and Stoll.  Afterwards, Greg Wyshynski writes, "Are you fuckin' kiddin' me bro?  You gonna disrespect me like that?  I oughtta get my friend Sal to gut you like a fuckin' fish!  That's what I'm gonna do, as soon as I finish putting on more self-tanner."

You’re confusing New Jersey with Staten Island.

Devils in my heart! Devils in my mind! Devils in my eyes! Devils until I die!

Geography and whatnot has never really been the strength of this blog. For some reason we somehow keep showing different states adjacent to California’s nether regions.

I was under the impression that Staten Island people were the “getthefuckouttaheya” people, while Jersey people were the tanned Italians. I’d better update my list.

Even some Jersey people who are tanned Italians aren’t that ridiculously tanned. Those people gotta be from Long Island. And besides, you’re leavin’ out the Newark Irish who really fuck people up.

I’m just glad you didn’t assume me to be either since I’m an upstate New Yorker, or as the people with the funny voices in Staten Island or Long Island would call us: Rednecks. Stupid assfaces.

For what it’s worth, Brendan Shanahan is set to sign a one-year deal with New Jersey. No timetable set for when he’ll join the team.

I would be very disappointed the fact I’m not going to this game if Brodeur were actually in goal.

But since he’s not… we won’t be able to see a sweet move my Kopitar on him in the shootout like the last time the Devils came to LA… in November 2006.

Fuck you, Denis Gauthier

Here’s said goal in a video that is inappropriately intense.

Also, “my Kopitar?”

What the fuck? Alright, I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with me. First the “two two” instead of “those” last night, and now this. I meant to say “Kopitar made”, not “my Kopitar”.

Fuck you, Denis Gauthier

That’s a pretty snazzy SBN comment feature — it reads your mind instead of posting what you actually type.

C’mon Kevin. Share your Kopitar.

You know what’s really weird? I was walking to the bus stop to go to work, and I was thinking about this… I didn’t even mean to say “Kopitar made”. I realized it on my way to work that I actually meant “by Kopitar”, which when you think about it, actually makes some sense. The ‘b’ and ‘m’ keys are only spaced two apart on the keyboard.

Fuck you, Denis Gauthier

C’mon Kevin. Share your Kopitar.

No, he’s my raccoon-faced semi-superstar. You can’t have him!!

Here are the lines for tonight, courtesy of Rich Hammond:

Frolov-Kopitar-Brown
O’Sullivan-Boyle-Purcell
Calder-Handzus-Simmonds
Ivanans-Stoll-Zeiler

I like the look of that 2nd line, but can any Kings’ line stop the Devils’ top scorers?

The West Coast is the Best Coast.

Wow.
It’s like “Growing up Gotti” around here.
Classic photo. Who is it?
I’m trying to pimp my idea around that Dany Heatley is the guy to pursue for the King’s sniper, if it’s going to happen.
Whatdyall think?
I’m getting pretty excited to see what can happen with Boyle moving up in the lineup.
I’d really like to see him grouped with O’S/Boyle/Brown, but the changes are positive.
We’re really close to realizing my dream “grind line” of:
Calder/Stoll/Simmonds as well.
We may even see it tonight.
Who better to center the 4th than Zoos, anyway. He’s so good defensively. He can cover for those two linemates.

Be prepared for the Truth

Hey, I'm from New Jersey ...

Eh, fuck it we deserve worse. Every time I go back there my eyes cry from the eternal grayness.
