I Guess Westgarth Didn't Like Getting Sent Down
In case you haven't heard, Kevin Westgarth almost killed a guy. Westgarth got into it with Garrett Klotz of the Philadelphia Phantoms and knocked him out with a few rights to the head. Klotz crumpled to the ground alongside the boards and then apparently went into a seizure. Here's the fight:
I don't have to much to say about the fight other than seizures are a scary thing (and that was a solid right by Westgarth), but you can read an argument against fighting here and a rebuttal here. I don't mind people inserting their own opinions on the subject in the comments, but try to keep it civil.

It’s a funny world where a team discourages their players from playing a no-check exhibition game for fear of injury, but has no problem with other guys bare-knuckle boxing on a surface the hardness of concrete.
And when some of those guys get seriously injured, have their careers cut short, or die, anyone who starts having second-thoughts about whether extracurricular slug-fests are worth it are, naturally, the ones who are ruining the game (or “pussifiying it” according to Mike Milbury).
