Brian Burke, now GM of the Maple Leafs, has re-acquired favorite thug Brad May from the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional 2010 6th round pick. We'll miss you, Mayday (well, maybe Kim Johnsson won't).

Who knows? I don’t mind it terribly, especially for a guy who’s been sitting around like Brad May.
Tough couple of weeks for Mayday, because even though there’s been roster openings, they’ve been largely on the top two lines (Selanne’s injury, Perry’s suspension), and he’s been passed up by a few Iowa Chops (Andrew Ebbett, Drew Miller). And with his upcoming free agency, he would have been lost for nothing next summer anyway.
I don’t have any idea what the “condition” is on the pick, but I suppose it’s better than nothing. The three things I’ll miss most about Mayday:
1. His ability to talk into a microphone capably.
2. When he fought Boogaard last year as a result of the suckerpunch above, he didn’t die.
3. In the Sharks game in Anaheim this year, he stood up for Pronger and made Jody Shelley look like a sissy.

I think I read somewhere that the condition is if May re-signs with Toronto next year, which is doubtful, considering his age and salary level.
Don't bRuin your life. Make love with a Trojan
Then again, there’s always Burke and his tragic flaws.
One thing I just realized that bums me out a little, though. I think the Ducks were set to break an obscure NHL record by having four different players reach the 1,000-game-mark this season. I believe it was going to be Hedican, Marchant, Mayday, and Pronger for the dubious “dinosaur award”.
The way May was being benched in Anaheim, he might not have gotten there anyway, but now it’s definitely out of reach.
