Should we re-acquire Miller?
Here's a question for you... Now that Drew Miller is on waivers, should we re-acquire him? We practically get first dibs since we're so damn low in the standings right now.

That would mean we essentially get Evgeny Artyukhin for free. I still think Miller is a serviceable player and he could be used if those early rumors of a Todd Marchant trade are true. Although I don't really want to see Marchant traded.

Why not? It’s not like we couldn’t put him on waivers again if need be. I’m pretty sure he’s on a 2-way contract so it’s not like it’ll cost the big club anything or count against the cap if we just keep him in the minors.
What spot do we need him for, though? You want to bench Brown or Nokelainen for a guy that was traded away in the summer?
It’s not an impossible situation, but it has been made all the more awkward by recent history. I don’t really know why that awkwardness needs to be in the Anaheim locker room, especially if we’re just talking about a fairly lateral move — I don’t know if he’s an upgrade over anybody dressed last game.

I don’t really think that picking Miller off of waivers would make the locker room anymore awkward than is probably already is (given the Jiggy trade/retirement thoughts).
Oh well, it looks like Detroit has claimed Drew Miller.

Guess the Ducks did pass him by.
Wings have Miller and May now? I remember that fourth line.
