well heres some positivity..the ducks somtimes al la philly game surprise us and play up to there compitietion..so we might see a decent game today

Yup — we’re all sorts of terrible, and it’s not working according to plan at all. Lately it’s the power play that’s killing them, but the PK could easily turn on the Ducks — they’ve demonstrated fragility in all sorts of areas.

Enjoy the beer, dude. First of many to come this season I’m sure.

And yeah, there may be some shenanigans tonight — Wings will probably wait until the game is won, though.

Vintage Spade, made me crap my pants… at some point, someone will tell their grandkids about you. Keep on keeping on, man. You beat the Sharks in the playoffs, and in some way, that’s all that will ever matter.

I was going for the whole Cal Worthingtons Fords in Long Beach….except with Hayward being the pitchman, and also wearing a cowboy hat, oh and he makes this face….

BTW if any of you have seen Cal’s most recent commerical, at the end it shows him back in the day wrestling with a Tiger, BUT in my commercial Hayward would be wrestling with a microphone.

So based on what I’m seeing in this first period, when do you think the Ducks will apply to be an AHL club? We clearly don’t belong in this league.

by Earl Sleek on Nov 14, 2009 4:41 PM PST up reply actions

Vomit. I don’t know if the Ducks could kill 30-second penalties, let alone 2 minutes.

http://www.battleofcali.com/

by Earl Sleek on Nov 14, 2009 4:44 PM PST up reply actions

Game seems over after the first period — I’d be shocked if the Ducks scored two goals tonight.

Now just to see if Getzlaf and Perry extend their points streaks to eleven games, and whether it gets pointed out that the Ducks probably should stop congratulating them for it — team’s won just three times over that span.

Well, halfway wrong so far. Nice pass, Getzlaf (a.k.a. bad pass, Detroit).

After the loss to Columbus, I started hoping that the streaks would be broken. Not only because individual accomplishments are fast becoming meaningless given the team’s situation, but also because after this season is over, I want to scrub my brain with bleach and never be reminded of it. But if Perry’s/Getzlaf’s streaks continue, then every time a future Duck puts together a little scoring streak, they’ll measure it up against what Perry/Getzlaf did in 09-10. And I’ll have to fight the urge to vomit every time.

It was an iffy day — I was helping my roommate move out, but got my end done nearly in time for gametime.

Regrettably.

But I still have to run to a family dinner later — probably won’t see much third period until late night (if ever).

Ducks suck — three times they tied the game up in the third period.

First time lasted 1:30. Second time lasted 2:44. Third time lasted 1:02.

I need to take quicker exhales of relief. Or probably, stop taking them at all.

Well, shit the bed.

poll: which is worse, shitting in your own bed, or the Anaheim Ducks?

I was hoping for 5 or 6 points (realisticly only expecting 4) on this tough but important road trip. The most we can get now is 3 pts, and ending up with 1 being probable.

My frustration has led me to side with Sleek, this team is not NHL quality.

Its sad when your roomate ask “why are they playing so bad?”, and my answer is the same for every game, and I’ve said it countless times already this season, “the ducks suck bad.”

So while I still wear my orange and black and root for them every game….I just gotta say……..“Ducks suck.”

Minnesota gets to OT against the Hurricanes, meaning the Ducks have secured sole possession of 15th in the west. It’s our basement now.

Man, this really sucks. Watching games has become painful. Seriously, what it is, is pretty much all of our pre season worries coming true. Everyone was worried that defense was going to suffer and it has. Defense for The Ducks is almost non existant and they are just playing like shit in the defensive zone. There was a play in the Red Wings game where three Ducks skated right past a puck that was left right in front of the net for Zetterberg to launch a shot at Hiller. One person, ok I can understand that. Two people, that’s a little stupid, but whatever. But three professional hockey players skating right by a puck, right in front of the net is pretty fucking abysmal. Of course that was just one of many abysmal mistakes made by the Ducks in the defensive zone that night. I also counted like 2-3 blatant turn overs by Ryan Getzlaf.

:Sigh: Here are my two videos for those two losses:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiFKm6l5-vE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu80vwfXzGs
I’m on a movie trailer kick. The first one is a spoof on The Box and the second one is a recut of the Planes, Trains, & Automobiles trailer. I think Planes, Trains, & Automobiles is one of the best comedies ever made. That makes this trailer recut all the more funny.

Is it sad that I’m having trouble keeping up with the Ducks losses on the funny video front? I think so.

As you all know The Ducks blue line is suffering pretty badly. Wiz being banished to the Islanders really doesn't help much. What I'm about to suggest is crazy, probably not legal, and absolutely absurd. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

That is a picture of my girlfriend's dog, Mia. And the holder of that hockey stick is me. Every once in awhile I'll practice stick handling in my kitchen with a small tennis ball. The other day, this interested Mia and she sort of made a game out of it. I try to stick handle around her and she trys to get the ball. At first this was no challenge to me, but then the little bastard started getting really good. So, here's my solution:

The Ducks sign Mia to a 3 year entry level contract. She can't stick handle, check, pass, shoot, has no concept of what team she's on, and has pretty shitty cardio. But from a team that once employed the likes of Ryan Whitney and Steve Eminger, this is all easily forgivable. On the up side, she'll never take a penalty.... Unless they add biting or pissing on the ice to the NHL rule book. She's relentless.... Unless the opponents all bring bacon which they use as a distraction.
