Anaheim Hates its Announcers

Angels announcers Physioc and Hudler "let go"

Star-divide

So this is how announcers are fired... with thunderous applause.

- William Shakespeare

The guys at Halos Heaven are rejoicing, mostly just for Physioc being gone and sort of a "whatever" attitude about Hudler. Much like most people here would rejoice for Hayward being gone and be sort of "meh" if Ahlers went with him. Interestingly, one of the reasons the lead blogger at HH cites for being happy that Physioc is gone is "not being enough of a homer".

Ha......ha..... I think us Anaheim fans are just never satisfied.

Sort of like the way we complain about East Coast Bias but then also complain when Hayward acts like the Ducks are the best team in the world and can do no wrong exists.

Me? I'm mostly fine with the Ducks guys. When Hayward pisses me off I tend to forgive him later. And I thought the Angels guys were pretty good all around. Then again, I liked the Star Wars prequel trilogy more than the original one, so what the hell do I know?

I don’t know, I am okay with Hayward for the most part. One aspect of his announcing that his notably annoying for me is that he says “moment of truth” to explain every near-miss goal.

Mix it up Hayward!

Brokenyard drops a big bomb here. I don’t even know how to react to this.

But yeah, I’d host a Hayward-is-fired party.

I didn’t like the new Indy movie as much as the old one, though. Friends?

Lol, just kidding. This post was a complete lie.

So long as you have a strong appreciation for Short Round, I can’t stay angry.

The current poll on that link

Trying to remember why I felt compelled to post this. Thinking I was drunk, but no, too early for that to be the case.

Anyway

How do you FEEL about the dismissal of Rex Hudler and Steve Physioc?

I think the point I was trying to make here was that people complain about everything. If Hayward’s too much of a homer, “rawr, die hayward, at least pretend to be fair” and if wasn’t enough of one it’d be “rawr, die hayward at least pretend you like the team you work for”

Because I use mouthwash. And sometimes, I floss.

i think chick hearn was the best annoucer ever…and best at not being a homer but still entertaining…he would talk a lot of shit about the lakers somtimes u would think he wasnt an annoucer for the lakers…plus he had the best quotes of course…“bunny hop in the pea patch” and of course the whole refrigerator things..vin sculley also..although he could have shut up about farmer john hot dogs…cant fault him for that it was a sponser also hell ramble on about how the opposing teams player catcher got b’s in his second grade class or how the pitcher plays acoustic music…still he’s always been odjective…i cant stand the "(insert home team here) cant do no wrong annoucers…and the angels guys were the epitome of that….heyward too..although heyward does jerk off over the opposing teams netminders..ill give him that…but that just sick and demented on his part

me and Brendan Mikkelson have a bromance happening...i hold his penis while he pees

I guess the main difference is this: I have full confidence in Steve Physioc’s ability to land and perform another baseball job. If Hayward were let go, he could work for Versus or something.

Rex Hudler? He HAS to work for the Angels. I don’t know if he has the ability to talk about any other team. Besides, Hudler took great lengths this summer to explain to me the difference between simple “hot” streaks and “LAVA HOT” streaks. (The difference is that lava hot comes from the magma power at the core of the earth and thus is unstoppable.)

Yeah I read on one of the links that right after he was fired he went to some sort of Angels promotion, heh.

As you all know The Ducks blue line is suffering pretty badly. Wiz being banished to the Islanders really doesn't help much. What I'm about to suggest is crazy, probably not legal, and absolutely absurd. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

That is a picture of my girlfriend's dog, Mia. And the holder of that hockey stick is me. Every once in awhile I'll practice stick handling in my kitchen with a small tennis ball. The other day, this interested Mia and she sort of made a game out of it. I try to stick handle around her and she trys to get the ball. At first this was no challenge to me, but then the little bastard started getting really good. So, here's my solution:

The Ducks sign Mia to a 3 year entry level contract. She can't stick handle, check, pass, shoot, has no concept of what team she's on, and has pretty shitty cardio. But from a team that once employed the likes of Ryan Whitney and Steve Eminger, this is all easily forgivable. On the up side, she'll never take a penalty.... Unless they add biting or pissing on the ice to the NHL rule book. She's relentless.... Unless the opponents all bring bacon which they use as a distraction.
