Who knew that the Kings would be the ones to save California from state-rape?

People who save up for a rainy day are like milk. And milk goes good with cookies, so you should have those people over for cookies.

I think the loss to Los Angeles embarassed the Blackhawks, even though I think the Kings are a quality dark horse candidate in the West. A couple of Chicago writers were even saying that the team may be overrated and not ready for prime time.

Chicago positively dominated San Jose. Outskated them from start to finish, took less penalties, and got the puck deep and pressured the Sharks defense. The next meeting between these two teams will be a good one. Having Dan Boyle back will help.

dark horse candiate for what exactly?

to not finish last in the West? to get the 8th playoff spot? They’ve improved over the past couple seasons, but they’re still going to be in the Pacific division cellar come April.

Watching the Chicago/Anaheim game on tv, I thought the Ducks would have tied it up at the end. The Blackhawks seemed to be a step behind the whole period.

Went to the Chicago/Los Angeles game. The Blackhawks played better than the night before, but the Kings had all the bounces going their way.

Figured Chicago would have brought their A game to San Jose. Unfortunately they did.
