Kings Gameday: Go Kings

LA Kings (poopy) vs. Dallas Erikssons (slightly less poopy, but poopy nonetheless)

7:30 PST, Fox Sports West

That's all I really wanted to say.  I want to win tonight.  I don't care if we get a shittier pick or what, I just want to win.  Let's sweep the Stars and make Turco cry again.  Go Kings.

Prediction: Kings win, 4-2.  Goals by Williams, Brown, Purcell and Johnson.

Very nice — the first BoCer to take advantage of SBN’s new AP photo insert feature.

Also, I had no idea the Kings were set to (sort of) sweep the Stars this year — nicely done. Kind of crazy how only one of the five games so far has been decided in regulation, though, and even that was only by a single goal.

Still beats how the Sharks or Ducks fared against Big D last spring, though.

Since the Kings got swept by Detroit and Nashville, and barring a win in their final games, San Jose and Calgary, it would be nice to put a sweep on someone. Had a chance to sweep St. Louis but fucked it up.

You said it, you fucked it up.

You know perfectly well how those “s” words (shutout, sweep) work, Rudy.

I forgot to come back and gloat that I was right because I got sick.

Unless…maybe Rudy smote me for calling him out. =O

Los Angeles (73 points) is mathematically still alive but would have to win all six games and have an incredibly complicated series of events take place to get in.

So would that complicated series of events mean the other teams spontaneous burst into flames?

Either that or a sudden realignment of the conferences.

As you all know The Ducks blue line is suffering pretty badly. Wiz being banished to the Islanders really doesn't help much. What I'm about to suggest is crazy, probably not legal, and absolutely absurd. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

That is a picture of my girlfriend's dog, Mia. And the holder of that hockey stick is me. Every once in awhile I'll practice stick handling in my kitchen with a small tennis ball. The other day, this interested Mia and she sort of made a game out of it. I try to stick handle around her and she trys to get the ball. At first this was no challenge to me, but then the little bastard started getting really good. So, here's my solution:

The Ducks sign Mia to a 3 year entry level contract. She can't stick handle, check, pass, shoot, has no concept of what team she's on, and has pretty shitty cardio. But from a team that once employed the likes of Ryan Whitney and Steve Eminger, this is all easily forgivable. On the up side, she'll never take a penalty.... Unless they add biting or pissing on the ice to the NHL rule book. She's relentless.... Unless the opponents all bring bacon which they use as a distraction.
