A montage of movie clips with people yelling “NOOOOOOOOOOO!” — sometimes with appropriate expletives.

Also acceptable: Any YouTube with repeated kicks to the groin.
But yeah — emotionally, this is a dark day for Sleek’s fandom.

Now you know the pain I felt as a young Blackhawks fan seeing Jeremy Roenick traded for Alexei Freakin’ Zhamnov. And I had just gotten a Roenick jersey for my high school graduation gift too.

Guys, this isn’t funny. C’mon, stop laughing. No, I’m not smiling, I’m frowning upside-down. I mean, just because Sammy Pahlsson is Earl’s favorite player and one of the most important players in Anaheim and they… they traded him for… for James Wisnew-Bwaaahahahahahaha… I’m sorry Earl, I’m sorry. Give me a second. (Whew)
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

“Bwahahahaha” is, of course, accompanied by tears.

I’m waiting for the Patrick O’Kicktothegroin verbal retort by Sleek. Or maybe just a link to a page listing teams that have never won the Stanley Cup, ordered by years spent in the league.

Fuck you, Denis Gauthier. You deserved that 5-game suspension.

He can still stay Sleek’s fave player … regardless of where he plays. :)

I was thinking it was along the lines of my internal dialogue when B-Rad broke his wrist last month: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbVw7entkxg

Great montage
Now that I’m at home and can watch it.
I approve of anything with Bruce Campbell in it. Anything.

So sorry, Earl.
I know how you must feel. I still haven’t gotten over losing Boucher. I reacted more like schtimpy27’s video at the time.

I still haven’t gotten over us losing Boucher. What were we thinking, replacing him with Modry?

I think you could have gone with the Brad Pitt in Seven clip in a continuous loop.
Darren Dreger playing the Morgan Freeman role, reporting on Sammy’s head in the box while Bob Murray calmly states that since Sammy was an upcoming free agent, the Ducks had to get something for him, right before Earl shoots him dead.
He was my favorite Duck too, but I figured this was going to happen and mentally prepared for it. Aside from Nokelainen, a gritty, useful player, I don’t really care for anyone we picked up today. The Moen/Huskins trade seems particularly lopsided.
Hopefully there’s some indication that Scotty will be back, because otherwise, we’re going to stink to high heck next year.

I don’t really care yet about anybody we got (I never want to know about prospects), but I don’t mind throwing more bodies in the cupboard. Even if they aren’t exciting individually, there’s still a notion of throwing enough darts that one of them sticks (or something).

We might, but I think it’s premature to call while there’s still several million dollars to spend. And to tell you the truth, I take a lot of what happened today as exactly that: I suspect Scotty fits right into next year’s roster.

I don’t think there are any particular expectations from the bodies we’re receiving (unless the Ducks scouting staff saw something they liked a la Beauchemin) other than that they can fulfill minor roles and the salary is right, which is important in a salary cap league. At least that holds true for Nokelainen and Wisniewski. I can’t explain the Christensen trade on any level.

I know next to nothing about the guy, except there’s a lot of sense of “unfulfilled potential” or something. Also telling was how much relief the Thrasher bloggers seemed to have when E.C. was out of their hair.
Yeah, it may be questionable, but it’s too early for me to say that. If the guy can ride along with Getzlaf & Perry, though (and I don’t think you need to be a world-beater for that role), it may work out.

I figured it was going to be a Rick Roll, considering “Never Gonna Give You Up” is Sleek’s ideal situation with Pahlsson

Sorry about your boy there Sleek.
As an A’s fan I can tell you from experience you get used to it. It sucks the first few times but eventually you go numb and learn to just shrug it off.

Hey, I’ve been lucky — Pahlsson was the longest-tenured Duck, and I’ve been able to maintain a favorite for a long set of years.
Maybe I can get lucky again — good thing I didn’t quickly latch onto Moen as the “next fave”.

I hope Nokie gets a chance to play everyday in Anaheim. He looked great from what I saw in camp this year, but was hampered by injuries this year and was a call-up/healthy scratch type player for most of this season.
I think Montador is going to be a good fit in Boston though. He seems to already know a lot of guys in the B’s room.

You know Sleek, if the Ducks knew you, I’m sure that’d be enough for them to keep Pahlsson on their team (in some capacity) until the Kings win the Cup… or until he dies. Whichever comes first, it doesn’t matter.
Fuck you, Denis Gauthier. You deserved that 5-game suspension.

Oh, I don’t need he needs to stay on the team that long. Just until I die.
