Drew Doughty was selected to Team Canada for the World Championships today, joining Dan Hamhuis, Chris Phillips, Luke Schenn, Shea Weber, and Ian White on the squad. Obviously, they're going to add people after the Ducks people lose in the 1st round, but for now it's pretty cool. Part of me thinks Doughty will probably play with Shea Weber, while part of me hopes Doughty plays with Schenn and destroys shit.
Doughty and Alex Frolov will probably be the only Kings in the World Championships, as Dustin Brown is recovering from a sore back and Kopitar has apparently been told to sit this one out. Hopefully Drew can impress the Canada brass and hopefully secure a spot for the Olympics next year.
I'll shut up now.
