The Kings are officially eliminated from the playoffs with their loss tonight.

A part of me want to say, "Hey, at least we made it to April this year," and another part of me is really fucking depressed that making it to April constitutes a successful season to me.

It’s not about the fans, really, but I think the Kings ownership is interested in getting a team to KC. It probably won’t be the Kings, but you never really can tell — they did play a preseason game there last fall.

This gives you more time to dream about the future, when the Kings may eliminate one of the other California teams from the playoffs. Then the wait will be worth it.
