The mood was somber yet determined at the Sharks Friday afternoon practice at HP Pavilion. San Jose head coach Todd McLellan addressed not only the disappointment heading into Saturday's game 5 down 3-to-1, but also the franchises many playoff shortcomings in previous seasons.

"Right now our character is being questioned. It is our job as an organization and as coaches, and as individuals and in group play to prove people right or wrong. We have to squash the reputation we have developed. Whether rightfully or wrongfully so, it is out there. Whether the players want to do that, we are probably a game or two late for already starting but tomorrow is the day to do it."
