Ducks eulogy at PD

While I can't say I hate the Ducks like ... say, Wings fans or Rudy or Sharks fans, I felt a little better about this post after PD used this photo I sent him:

Thinghands_medium If you can figure out what that photo means without context, I will be impressed. Anyway, click on the photo or here to read the post. There was a Boston Bruins eulogy that kicked the crap out of mine, but hopefully you'll enjoy my subtle kick to the newspaper industry's groin and somewhat obscure reference to "Halloween" (Chris Pronger = Michael Myers).

Also, the PD commenters are already confusing me and kind of creeping me out. Good day, sirs.

Apparently, the eulogy is either too short or just crappy. Cries

Crappy?

Hell, dude, I though it was one of the best ones.

Appreciate that, sir. Ultimately I really don’t know what’s good anymore (at least when I write it). :)

Dude, Puck Daddy commenters are the worst — I wouldn’t read them if you value your self-esteem or mental health. I know I got in a lot of trouble with my Sharks eulogy for not devoting half of it to talking about how awesome Detroit is.

Nicely done — hit on the key issues, and generally well-played.

Thanks, Sleek. If it was a worthwhile read for Ducks fans/Ducks haters who have at least middling brain power then I’m satisfied.

Yeah, I’ve never seen a fan base talk so much crap about a worthy advisory after a flat out great series. They act like they had some skin in the game. Most I’m sure did not even know what Hockey was 12 years ago before Detroit started dominating. It seems clear that they are in it just to talk shit, and they can’t do that with a team that sucks, so they latch onto the best team and claim to be fans.

IamJoe is a real hockey fan who roots for Detroit, there are way too many “Wing Fans” like those jackasses posting on Puck Daddy. Fuckin morons don’t even realize what a great series they just watched (if they even turned it on once, more likely they just checked box scores and armed their shit talk)

And to those San Jose fans, explain to me how us getting beat in G7 to Detroit exonerates you from your first round loss? Get over it. It’s bad enough with the large majority of Wings Fans logic out there.

Why do you guys even post for Puck Daddy?
FUCK!

I did not need that shit today, bastards.

Haha, it’s a good thing I’m sort of familiar with the way things go at PD. And general message board behavior. Usually when I see a big paragraph that starts with all caps and misspellings I go on to the next comment.

Not to take anything away from the OCCASIONAL use of all caps and the undeniable charm of misspelling (see: Spade … he’s delightful).

It doesn’t … we are just happy Ducks are not moving on. :)

I respect that, and you Ang. Just some of those comments…jeeez

Just try your hardest to stay away from that stuff

Post Shark loss there was a ton of BS on the internet about the Sharks. It was coming from idiot hockey fans everywhere. Idiot Shark, Duck, and even Coyote fans. The only safe place was FTF where people tried to understand it logically. I couldn’t even log into Facebook because of the amount of BS going around.

I’m pretty sure BoC is a safe site though. No idiot fans besides this dude.

Whoops, sorry about that, idunno — I took the 2 comments of advice and deleted it. That guy can start his own blog.

Yeah I laughed when I saw that post was deleted. Sleek, I credit you for making BoC a place where moron commenters are limited to … me.

Hey, we’re all morons in our own special ways. For whatever lucky reason, we seem to draw the right kind, for the most part — so long as you can take your lumps, feel free to dish ’em.

Plus you know our sign-on motto:

If you’re going to be mean, please be funny.

Words to live by.

yeah … I don’t read too much into comments by those I don’t know … most I find are just jerks who don’t know what they are talking bout … :)

That right there

is why I have stayed away from PD since the Sharks exited. The comments there are a new kind of hell to sink into.
