On ne fait pas d'omelettes sans casser des oeufs

What was more amazing: Marc-Andre Fleury's save in the dying seconds of game 7 or his post-game interview on CBC?

Marc Andre Fleury Swears During Post-Cup Live Interview (via Jefflered)

Was that actually Marc-Andre Fleury or was it a Sasha Baron Cohen character designed to piss of ignorant Americans?  The only way it could have been better is if he had denigrated the troops before kissing his boyfriend and riding off in his foreign-made car.  Oh, and then he ran over Hulk Hogan and Stephen Colbert on his way out.  I am officially in love with Marc-Andre Fleury.

Oh, and I don’t know what the title says, I just typed “French sayings” into Google and picked one.

The West Coast is the Best Coast.

It says that: one cannot make omelets without breaking some eggs.

Based on the fleeting expletives ruling by the Supreme Court, I’d think NBC should get fined for that, along with all the people that said the F word when they lifted the cup. The F-bomb from Petr Sykora seemed appropriate, but I think the trainers dropping it was just unnecessary.

Like you wouldn’t drop an F-bomb or two if you won the Cup. I sure would. Probably a whole big string of expletives.

Not sure how you read that based on the way you quoted it, but I did mistype the second half of that. Obviously, the people wouldn’t be fined, but the FCC can fine NBC for each and every expletive broadcast. I wasn’t taking issue with any of the players saying the “F” word, if anything I’m surprised NBC broadcast all of them. It IS hockey, but I’m sure the FCC is watching, even if the NIelsen families aren’t.

Just commenting on the application of an absurd ruling. I crois que we should be able to see Janet Jackson’s titty EVERY Sunday evening. But everyone else voted for Bush, who appointed Chief Justice Roberts, and so here we are.

I guess it’s just not your weekend, Joe.

Well, to your above post, I wouldn’t drop the F-bomb as a trainer— unless I had personally found a way to get Sid back on the ice for those two shifts or something. Nothing against trainers; I just don’t think the frustration/vindication factor is such that you want to scream out expletives when they hand you the cup. As a player/coach, of course I would. And I’m sure NBC set aside some money for that.

I figured they would have a 10-second delay to make sure they took care of those or something. But no.

Nobody cares about your opinion.

I'll be damned if that wasn't Jean Girard...

Oui? No, we are not French. We’re American, because you’re in America, okay? Greatest country on the planet…

I don’t think I’ve ever heard him speak before, it wasn’t quite what I expected

As you all know The Ducks blue line is suffering pretty badly. Wiz being banished to the Islanders really doesn't help much. What I'm about to suggest is crazy, probably not legal, and absolutely absurd. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

That is a picture of my girlfriend's dog, Mia. And the holder of that hockey stick is me. Every once in awhile I'll practice stick handling in my kitchen with a small tennis ball. The other day, this interested Mia and she sort of made a game out of it. I try to stick handle around her and she trys to get the ball. At first this was no challenge to me, but then the little bastard started getting really good. So, here's my solution:

The Ducks sign Mia to a 3 year entry level contract. She can't stick handle, check, pass, shoot, has no concept of what team she's on, and has pretty shitty cardio. But from a team that once employed the likes of Ryan Whitney and Steve Eminger, this is all easily forgivable. On the up side, she'll never take a penalty.... Unless they add biting or pissing on the ice to the NHL rule book. She's relentless.... Unless the opponents all bring bacon which they use as a distraction.
