Kent Huskins gets promoted!
Head to Fear the Fin to get some gut trade reaction.
Basically, Ehrhoff and Lukowich are off to Vancouver for spare parts. The trade may get the Sharks cap-compliant, but I'm not doing cap-ceiling math any more.

salary dumpage
Who would entertain you this season if the Sharks didn’t have cap issues, Sleek!

Just so long as they keep me laughing in the springtime, I guess I could handle some lean months.

Heh, well according to CapGeek, the Canucks are $1 Million over.
I know that’s not really going to be a problem, but just found it ironic.

Nice title Sleek
This one is a wash for me. We dropped about 4.5 mil, (4.665) and got back scrubs who were the 16th and 17th VAN prospects. I hope this is a precursor to more moves, (Pyatt or/and Kessel please) but regardless we did what we had to do to become cap compliant.

And if you believe what they’re saying on Twitter tonight, some of that money gets spent on Torrey Mitchell’s new 3-year extension.
Per the tweet, 3 years, $4.1 million. A cap hit of ~$1.37 million per year.

I’m fine with resigning Mitchell. Someone else is on the move, and its looking more and more like it’s going to be Cheechoo. I wouldn’t be too shocked if we found the Sharks with more cap space before summer’s end.

Seriously, cap-ceiling spending is so last year.
For the Ducks, anyways. Come join us.

I somehow have this feeling DW isn’t going to do as you suggest…
