Los Angeles Kings @ Phoneix Coyotes, 7:30 PM
Phoenix Coyotes @ Los Angeles Kings, 7:30 PM
I'm Jonesin', man. I got a hit yesterday and now, like a crack addict, I need another. Luckily the Kings are playing at Staples tonight so my brother and I are going to the game. The Kings are splitting squads with the Phoenix Coyotes and split their squads in fairly even halves:
@ Staples: @ Jobing:
Smyth-Kopitar-Williams Frolov-Handzus-Simmonds
Purcell-Loktionov-Moller Richardson-Gauthier-Lewis
Clifford-Schenn-Mikus King-Azevedo-Meckler
Clune-Harrold-Westgarth Ivanans-Cliche-Zeiler
Johnson-Scuderi Drewiskie-Greene
Teubert-Hickey Campbell-Voynov
Piskula-Doughty Bagnall-Martinez
Bernier Ersberg
Jones Zatkoff
As you can see, the Kings generally have one NHL-caliber line, two lines of prospects, and a prospective 4th line. Dustin Brown, Sean O'Donnell, and Jonathan Quick are all taking the night off.
The Coyotes, meanwhile, are a bunch of cheating cheaters that cheat. They're squads aren't so much split as they are completely unfair, with Zbynek Michalek, Ed Jovanovski, Shane Doan and Ilya Brzgalov all playing at home and luminaries like Taylor Pyatt, Kyle Turris and Viktor Tikhonov headlining the Staples contingent. There is one brightside, however:
Jason Labarbera is playing at Staples tonight.
Holy hell is he going to get booed.
Prediction: Kings win, 6-3 at Staples, while the Kings lose, 6-3, at Jobing.
