Eh, I hate Brookbank as much as the next guy but Sutton is not an upgrade by any means. He just has size, that’s all. Thankfully Sbisa has stepped his game up and Lydman has been a great surprise. Otherwise, we’d be screwed.

hes done somthing similar last year…rudy had a good laugh about it….i think it was against the kings…he was maybe 4 or 6 ft. from the goalie in prime position to pick a corner (not quite a breakaway there were defenders to the sides, but not in front of him, he was pretty much all alone) but he passed it back..

it was one of those palm to the face moments that is getzlaf legend

This is sort of reminiscent of Joe Thornton when Thornton was Getzlaf’s age. They would always ask Thornton to shoot more. The thing is that Getzlaf has a way better shot than Thornton has. Maybe it’s a sign of things to come though – consistent 95+ point seasons.
