Oh man. Our old pal Jonathan "56 Goals" Cheechoo just hit waivers.

Here's to you, Cheech. Sorry it had to end this way.

OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD

Please someone pick him up before he gets to the Kings. There’s no way Lombardi lets him go by.

first JR speaking for the Kings … then Cheech plays for the Kings … would that be the Kings way of telling you off Rudy?? :)

The Kings should just trade for Paul Kariya and play him with Smyth. Fuck, re-sign JR, trade back for Blake, bring Ulf Samuelsson and Patrick Roy out of retirement, go for the gusto and make me kill myself.

Probably should bring back both Blakes, just to be thorough.

Cheech’s contract is supposed to pay him 3.5mil next season. I don’t think even Lombardi would be sentimental enough to take on that sort of cap hit next season…

The Kings should pick up Cheech just so he can get 18 goals in six games against the Ducks (for a total of 19 on the whole season).

Jody Shelley traded to the NYR for a “draft”.

In this case it might be a beer.

Cheechoo and May both cleared waivers. Not sure what’s next for either — AHL, look out.

That is so sad. On the positive side, there are guys who would like to have the career he had that season. Poor Cheechoo. :(
