Facts about the Avalanche:
-They give up a lot of shots (6th most in the league)
-They get out shot a lot (-4.5 shots/game)
-They win because they have a great goaltender (Craig Anderson)
-Craig Anderson is great (2.41 GAA, .920 SV%)
-Craig Anderson looks like Cabin Boy (

-The Avalanche are really balanced (7 players with 10 or more goals)
-They don't have any one player that dominates (Matt Duchene leads the team with 20 goals)
-Matt Duchene is good and young (18)
-Matt Duchene looks like the kid from Freaks & Geeks (this one)
-They also have Paul Stastny (he's healthy)
-Wojtek Wolski has a funny name (hehe)
-The Avalanche play at a fast pace
-The Avalanche are good and young (hey, that sounds familiar)
-This is the first of four games against the Avalanche this season (I have nothing to add)
-The Kings need to win (yep)
Prediction: Kings win, 3-2. Goals by Brown, Stoll and Simmonds. Simmonds skates by Chris Stewart and says, "...Me?"

The funny thing about this kid, at least to me, is the pending year of his free agency status.
Back in 2006, in the second round of the playoffs, the Ducks had just won their third straight game against the Avs, threatening to sweep. There was obviously some panic in Denver, so I remember they decided to dress Wolski for that G4, which was somewhat a big deal — it was his tenth game of that season, so it burned a year of his eligibility, or whatever the right terminology is.
At any rate, the Avs did dress him, and he did play well, but they still lost — Avs gambled a year away on that game, and got swept anyways. Thanks, Breezy!
