Yeah I noticed that too when I set my DVR this morning. The scary thing was that even thought the game was shown starting at 3pm in San Diego, they showed the local news beginning at 5pm. You don’t think they would preempt the end of the game so that they can show the Channel 7/39 news at 5pm, do you?

I was looking at this site which has hat-tricks and Gordie-Howes, but unfortunately they don’t monitor Douche tricks (which I’m guessing would be mostly Perry and maybe Holmstrom).
The one thing that I found interesting, because I don’t know why but that kind of thing interests me, is that teams who score hat tricks this year have gone 50-2-1. That alone tells you the Ducks haven’t been scoring hat tricks.

Selanne’s older than he once was, and I don’t think he’s much fond of battling through checks any more — he’ll circle back a lot, or pull a quick shot — the things that help him avoid that uncomfortable contact.
It does detract from his game some, but he’s gifted enough that you can give some of that back, especially if you’ve got a Koivu or Lehtinen willing to do a little extra work.
That all said, I don’t know how much heat that line is getting from Finland — it’s awfully late in the tournament for that top line to be looking for its first goal.

It was quite improbable that he even got to be here at all. But he’s so used to being a scoring powerhouse for this team, you have to feel for him.

Yeah, I know he’s not really into doing all that “hard work”, I just like to think he’s angry or frustrated when he’s taking a slap shot. Then again I don’t watch a lot of Ducks games.
But yeah I don’t think anyone’s happy with that line’s performance.
Apart from “I pity da foo” I don’t know anything about A-Team. Maybe I’ll watch them sometime, waving Stars and Stripes and drinking a glass of water, or Budweiser as you call it :]
It’s probably too late now — you kind of had to be a kid in the 80s for full effect.
More a sentimental favorite, but I still watch them on occasion.

i agree on selanne not fighting thru checks etc…thats why i think he should be relugated to Pp duty and on the 3rd or 4th line…make the 2nd line bobby-kouvi-blake

The two games (I think?) that Selanne played as a 4th-liner before he broke his jaw went very well — limited even strength responsibilities plus top-power-play minutes.
Selanne can do whatever he wants next year, though — he’s the mayor of Anaheim, I think.
