An actual post, now that I have some time
Don’t take this game to mean too much. People are going to try to play it as “Can the Kings hang with the elite teams in the West?” if we lose and especially if we win, but don’t put too much stock in it. This is especially true since we’re playing the Blackhawks and people are going to point out the obvious similarities between the two squads.
Just concentrate on the Kings. We need 7 wins and we have (I think) 18 games to do it. If we win tonight, great! If we lose, not a big deal. Don’t get so tied up in whether we’re good enough to go far in the playoffs until we actually make the playoffs.
Oh, and let’s hope Fro keeps it up tonight. I’m tired of watching Hawks-Kings games and noticing that Patrick Sharp is the best non-top line guy on the ice. It should be Fro every time.

Meat Train definitely had the effort tonight, but some of his penalties had me scratching my head. Kudos to Dusty for sticking up for Smyth for that late hit in the third. Boston Bruins fans are jealous of the Kings pugnacity.

I think he was trying to get off the ice quickly because he was pissed. O’Donnell stopped him and told him he played a great game and that he had nothing to be upset about. O’Donnell is the team dad.

That sounds plausible. I initially thought Quick was pissed at Brad, but him just wanting to rush off the ice makes a lot more sense.
