Hi all,

If you haven't read my previous post, you'll see that I'm sick and tired of Spade and his talk of having to play NHL 09. So I've put in an effort to try and get him NHL 11 when it comes out. That will give us roughly 6 months to raise about $60-$65.

I'm looking for donations of $1 (more is always welcome, but I'm going to keep my expectations low) from the faithful BoC readers to help us achieve this goal. Send your money via PayPal to woo_derek[at]yahoo.com. I'll be posting status updates with screen shot images so you can follow along. They'll typically get posted when any kinds of funds are received.

As you can see, we currently have a roaring balance of $0.00. I've already started by making a transfer of $1, although that'll take anywhere from 3-5 business days to show up.

I'm really looking forward to a good turnout here and am hoping to help out one of the most active participants on the BoC (and to get him to shut up about how he still only has NHL 09).

I still haven't decided what to do with any possible extra money we'll have earned from this, but with my low expectations from the BoC crowd, I don't know if that would even happen. But in any case, I'm thinking we could just split up any extra funds between Sleek, Rudy, and Megalodon to show how much we appreciate their hard work for this blog.

NHL 07 to NHL 10 has nursed me through 3 off seasons quite well. The others I suffered through horribly. Hope this works out for you Spade.

How did he fuck you? (I have not played much NHL 10 nor am I aware of how you prefer to be fucked) I had many problems with 09 and the ’10 demo seemed to be an improvement.

Then again I thought the ’09 demo was a great improvement over ’08 and I ended up hating a lot about ’09, so… yeah.

He figuratively fucked me, not literally. There was little improvements and the improvements that were made only created more glitches and gameplay faults. Imagine playing hockey but you’re limited to shitty passing and inaccurate shooting. Pretty fucking hard, huh? The biggest problem is that the puck physics surpass the abilities of the players. That and there’s no explanation for any of the attributes that you can improve on your BAP.

Did you ever see the guy that needed money for something, I don’t remember what? He put a picture of a cute bunny on a webpage with a donate link and said that if he didn’t get a certain amount of money by a certain date, he was going to kill and eat the bunny. The pictures further down the page where like the bunny in a pot, in a frying pan, and sitting on a cutting board. Hilarious shit. I almost donated, just because it was so funny. The guy made something insane too, like $50,000. Wish I had thought of that.

Sorry for not providing this update sooner, but I was on vacation all last week and wasn’t able to post. Another $10 comes from the ever so generous Grace bring our total balance to $21.

This might actually work…

And in response to Grace’s message, that $10 will buy Spade about 1 1/4 beers at the Honda Center, but we’ll gladly take the extra couple of bucks for this.
