The Sharks won't re-sign Evgeni Nabokov. Even though this is what I thought was best for the organization, it's still sad to see him go.
I agree with the many writers in the hockey blog-o-net who are pointing to these recent playoffs as the possible end of the days of the big-money goaltender as the way to success. Nabokov is a solid goalie who will find a job elsewhere, but with the players the Sharks need to resign his contract just doesn't fit in.
Sorry to see you go, Nabby.
And this better mean Marleau is going to stay!
