Sharks Gameday: Fellowship
For those who missed it, here is a complete recap of the Sharks' last game:
That's it.
I'm thankful for Antti Niemi.
My 63rd-favorite movie of all time is The Fellowship of the Ring. For this gameday today I was originally going to write this big awesome thing about how the movie can be seen as a great hockey metaphor and how all the characters in it relate to Sharks players but then in the end I didn't do that.
Great story, huh?
Prediction: Brent Burns complains loudly about the lack of Tom Bombadil. Sharks win 3-1.

Great story, huh?
-Oh man, Friday, I really wanted an egg salad sandwich and I was just obsessing about it and I was like, ‘Man, I’m gonna make one of those.’ So Saturday, I went out and got, like, a dozen eggs and then I boiled them all and I just, I spent, I dunno, probably three hours, like three and a half hours making, you know, the mayonnaise, and the onions and paprika and, you know, the necessary accoutrement. And then, by the time I was done, I didn’t really feel like like eating it.
-I can imagine.
-And I didn’t have any bread.

Totally unrelated to this…but did you notice that Columbus has one point less than Anaheim in the standings?

There are so many amazingly humorous ways to interpret that.

I would totally support the Ducks hiring Sleek to replace Carlyle. Every video session could start with a new cartoon shaming the Ducks about how they lost.

Cam Fowler and Jack Johnson have the same number of syllables in their names. Really makes you think.
That isn’t true if you include “Mother Fucking.”

GO SHARKS!
Well I decided just last night I wanted to go to this game, but damn if I can find any inexpensive tickets. :(
Not that I thought I could, but one can always hope.

Disagree, except that Legolas gets more hateful with each reviewing.
Picklesnakebit since 2011.
@shampeon
Legolas, the corny music, the bad cg, the unbearably long (and often slow-motion) scenes between Frodo and Sam, the unmitigated use of soft lighting, and poor direction in general overshadowed the solid casting and flawless set/costume design. The whole thing was a pre-sold, over-budgeted melodrama, littered with shit like this, this, and this.

Wait you think the movie is slow and corny but like the book?

While I liked 2 of the 3 LOTR movies (wasn’t too fond of The Two Towers), I did try watching the extended four-hour cut of Fellowship and couldn’t sit through it. Much like the insane level of detail in the books, I really just didn’t give a shit about what life was like in the Shire.

Hide the Q-Tips!
From the Winter Classic alumni roster for the Rangers:
and forwards Darren Langdon, Stephane Matteau, Nick Kypreos, Darren Turcotte, Kris King, Brian Mullen, Paul Broten, Ron Duguay, Nick Fotiu and Pat Hickey

Turcotte! My favorite almost good Shark from the “Oh god do we suck” years! Almost retired after bursting his eardrum with a Q-Tip, or ’Turcotte’s Bane’! Currently drives a Nissan Sentra, and “now coaches a Midget AA girls team called the North Bay Ice Boltz”!

Drat. I’ll be at Stanford-Notre Dame tonight, so I have to settle for Comcast replay tomorrow. Hopefully making fun of the Troll is just as fun 12 hours after the fact as it is live.
