Hockey Luvin Homos during Canucks v. Kings game 3/31
Did anyone spot the "Hockey Luvin Homos" guys on Thursday during the Canucks v. Kings game on 3/31? Apparently they created quite a stir and the incident was written up in Yahoo! Puck Daddy:

The men were subsequently ejected from the game for refusing to cover up the word "Homo" on their shirts:

Anyway I created a 2011 History Will Be Made parody on this incident because I was so angry at some of the hateful comments that were posted. It still amazes me that people are still so backwards about their feelings about being gay. It's called "Pride".

Why didn’t they just cover up the “HOMOS”? They had them covered up for the first two periods for the same reason they were asked to cover them.
Because the whole point of dressing like that and sitting where they did was to get attention, and meekly obliging and covering the offensive word up wouldn’t have done that.
For the record, these guys seem cool.
I was almost going down and then I didn’t go down and then it came and it was too late to get down.

They acknowleged that it was edgy and had the word covered for 2/3 of the game for that reason.
It’s silly to act indignant when someone tells you the same and asks you to cover it back up.

Even though they are gay, homo is considered a slur. Just like if a black person were wearing a t shirt with the n word plastered all over it, they would be asked to leave as well.

Luckily for the Canucks, no black people have ever come anywhere near one of their games.

Actually the "N" word is closer to the "F" word...
…homo is more like the antiquated “negro” . I wonder if these men would have been asked to leave if they were wearing t-shirts that said “hockey luvin homosexual”?
