Kings “official” blogger Rich Hammond seems to think that the Kings will re-sign him for much less than what he is making now, but I don’t see how there will be room for him under the salary cap unless he is willing to return for less than $2 million/year.
Quisp seemed to assume Handzus would be back at a steep discount, but he has backed off of that now. After Williams’ contract was extended and Penner was acquired, he did the math and didn’t see how it could work.

I think Rich is going off of Murray’s desire to have him back, but… what else is Murray supposed to say? “Nah, I don’t want him back.”
Zues can demand more than what he’s making with the Kings now. Why would he sign for much less? They’re still a few years away from being a real threat to win it all.

Dude seriously, you’re making pre-offseason depth charts?! Can’t a Sharks fan just enjoy the win over LA without feeling that lives were ruined?
I would be doing this if the Kings had won, I just wouldn’t post it. I have a spreadsheet broken up to the next 20 games, the next season, and 3 years from now. I have scenarios that account for the Kings signing Brad Richards this off-season or Patrick Sharp/Ales Hemsky/Alexander Semin next off-season. I’m imagining who we are going to trade Brad Richardson to and what we might get in return. I’m a fucking lunatic, how have you not realized this?

Brad Richardson can play either left wing or center. If you did one for the Sharks you’d have Kyle Wellwood and Torrey Mitchell roughly in the same spots that I have Richardson and Lewis.
