Overall, I'm pretty happy. To understand why, you have to know the following things:

1) I don't give a shit about team chemistry or grit or clutch

2) Jack Johnson is a bad defenseman

3) Slava Voynov is probably better than Johnson right now

4) We added a guy who has potted an average of 36 goals a season over the last 4 seasons for a 1st rounder, basically

So value-wise, I'm stoked. We'll see where Carter fits. The obvious solution is to plug him in with Mike Richards and make those 2 the corner stones of the Kings' shutdown line for the next 5 years.
