That battle of the bands idea was so rad I had to put together one myself, but I was too busy/lazy 'til now. Also I kind of just picked a few live performances that I think are better than album recordings in some ways, rather than trying to showcase the breadth of my taste in four tracks. For example, the scream coming out of the bridge of Crazy on You is super sexy.
OPENING ACT:
This video says it's from 1976, back when Ann was still the hotter one. Crazy. I know.
HEADLINER: JOSE FELICIANO with BING CROSBY
"Mama Don't Allow"
Ah yes the lovely wahine's! Blind people are naturally gifted at music, or at least the good ones are. FACT
FINALE:
This video is from 2011. Also this song is good. Their singer is leaving. The farewell show is in San Francisco this February 22nd, on a Friday. This is me encouraging you to go to that show. I'm not affiliated with them or anything.
ENCORE:
This performance is tighter than the studio recording, plus now you can watch Mark Knopfler tear up the guitar. The Old Grey Whistle Test has all kinds of sweet performances from old acts.
Hope you enjoyed at least one of those.
Peace.
