Anaheim Ducks Gameday: Cash Money

Jer gots to get paid, son. Photo credit - ~adrianserghie on deviantart.com

I'm a professional blogger.

Occasionally Battle of California gets paid by what are more or less sponsors. Less occasionally, Meg lets some of this money trickle down to Dunn or me.

Recently, Meg was kind enough to give both Dunn and me $50 each for our hard work. In the six or seven months Dunn and I have been writing here, this is the first time this has happened. That may seem pretty sad, but on the bright side, the moment we got paid elevated us from your average household blogger to professional bloggers. Hooray! I've just submitted my two-week notice to my day job.

Let's break this down... So I have 62 posts on the blog, not including this one, and if I say the average post takes me 20 minutes to prepare (which is really based on nothing, I've never tracked how much time I spend doing these things and would probably want to kill myself if I did), that's 1,240 minutes, or a bit over 20½ hours... $50 / 20.5...

Woohoo $2.43 an hour!

Fuck.

Gameday Prediction: Somebody from a flyover state is probably still angsty about the last post I wrote on a Ducks vs Blue Jackets gameday.
