Things that put a scare in you when you're reading about a game several time zones away: "Yet the Swiss kept coming, and the flag-waving home crowd didn't relent with their chants of "Hopp Schwiiz!" They also whistled with lusty derision when captain Mark Streit was shaken up in the Swiss end on an Alexander Frolov high stick." Streit was OK and tallied an assist. After three games, he's leading the Swiss in TOI with over 26 minutes per game. A shocker: Latvia tops Sweden in a shootout.
