Jeff Friesen attempts comeback with Polar Bears

33-yr old Jeff Friesen has earned a try-out contract with the Berlin Polar Bears of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Friesen collected 516 points in 893 games during his NHL career and won the Stanley Cup '03 with New Jersey. Last season Friesen didn't play after being released by the Sharks and the year before he played in just five games for Lake Erie of the AHL. Good luck Freeze!
