Video of the first day of the Sharks rookie camp on Friday. A few drills, a scrimmage which picked up intensity as it went on, and then an extended shootout round with defenseman Nick Schaus and Nick Petrecki providing the highlights at the end. The Sharks rookies will face Anaheim on Sunday (7:30PM), Vancouver on Monday (7:30PM), and Edmonton on Wednesday (7:30PM) as part of the Youngstars Rookie Tournament in Penticton, British Columbia.

Here is a slow-motion video from CSNCA of Douglas Murray's third period hit on Johan Franzen. It was a clean shoulder-to-shoulder check. Franzen complained to the Detroit media that there should have been a 5-minute major penalty called on the play. It looks like he was trying too hard to draw a call. Photos from game 5 are up here.
