LA Kings (14-14-6) vs. Phoenix Coyotes (16-14-5)
7:30 PST, Fox Sports
(Phoenix perspective at Five for... Howling??? I don't believe it.)
I'll be honest, I'm tired from driving and celebrating Christmas (Fuck yeah, Jesus!) so this'll be short. I'm sure you don't really care what I have to say today either, so we'll just pretend I made you laugh once or twice and call it a day.
The Kings responded to my emotional speech earlier this week, blanking the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-0. Anze Kopitar played great, Peter Harrold scored his first goal of the season in front of his friends and family, Jonathan Quick made the saves he needed to, blah blah blah. Let's keep it going tonight against a decent Phoenix team.
Does anyone else think that the sound guy for the Kings plays the music for international tournaments? I remember thinking this last year, and then I was watching the US-Germany game on the NHL Network and they play a lot of the same music, including that embarrassing new goal song the Kings just started playing. Strange.
Prediction: Kings win, 1-0. Goal by Dustin Brown. Good night.
