You remember Matt Moulson? Funny looking guy, big eyebrows, good defensively? Yeah, he's amazing now. I know, I was surprised too. The Cornell grad missed out on a spot on the Kings last season and now has a plum job alongside John Tavares and Kyle Okposo on the Isle. Moulson is playing 19 minutes a night and, more amazingly, 5 1/2 minutes a night on the power play. I can't decide if I'm supposed to be happy because I used to love Matt, or confused because there is absolutely no way he's good enough to deserve that kind of time. I haven't seen him play yet this season but I assume he's the Rucchin to Tavares' Selanne and Okposo's Kariya, the defensive stopper on a line with two dynamos. Or maybe he's just there to teach Tavares how to properly groom his massive eyebrows.

Moulson making it is kind of a good thing for the Kings, as it means the cast-offs for the Kings are good enough to make the rosters of shittier teams. They're not to the Red Wings point yet, where guys like Kyle Quincey can't make the team, but it's better than when we had guys like Brian Willsie on the team.

Anywho, Matt Moulson was always a pretty good guy who missed out on his shot with the Kings because Wayne Simmonds came aboard. He probably doesn't deserve more than 12-13 minutes a night on a playoff team, but good on him if he's taking advantage of the Islanders' current plight.

Why the fuck is this game on so early?

Prediction: Kings win, 4-2, then go have some breakfast.
