Anaheim Fire Carlyles (Fire Carlyle) at Phoenix Coyotes (Hire Carlyle), 6 pm
Anaheim Calling and Five For Howling -- two blogs blessed with their non-hires of Carlyle.
I really don't have much to say on Anaheim's most recent play -- thanks to bottomed-out expectations, smart-phone score updates, and walk-in-the-door DVR deletions I have seen almost nothing of 3 of the past 4 Ducks losses. I know that Honda Center has had long power delays the past two games, but I haven't watched or waited through any of that. And I'll be at a Thanksgiving Eve service when the puck drops tonight -- it seems almost a sure thing that I'll come home and delete tonight's recording without watching it as well. Thanks in advance, Carlyle!
I'll just recycle cartoons up to the point where I do watch the Ducks play a game.
But hey, it's not like I'm not learning anything this week. Remember when I told you about my 4-year-old nephew and my 1-year-old niece? It turns out I was inflating each of their ages by 33% -- the kids are only 3 years and 9 months, respectively. Whoops!
Still, despite not remembering kids' ages, I am once again turning out to be a rather solid uncle. On Tuesday I went with the kids to Pretend City, a toddler's learning paradise. Then I spent yesterday battling my way through the madhouse known as Disneyland, my first time there since 1995 (!). And the kids loved it -- thank goodness they're not emotionally affected by the on-ice antics of idiots.
Prediction: The score sucks; I delete the recording. But the kids have an awesome day.
Fire Carlyle.
