I don't interact much with St. Louis Blues fans. I know their fanbase is sizable, so this is certainly not a knock on their ability to support the team. I just don't know any of them personally. Since everybody in the world envies our great state and wants to move to Southern California, there are transplants from everywhere, so you run in to plenty of fans of other hockey teams. But for some reason I haven't met a blues fan. One time I saw a guy in a Blues sweater in a Burger King, and I know a Cardinals fan, but that's the closest I've come.
So I wanted to see what these fans were like. They're probably decent people; they're not from Dallas, after all. I decided to take a look at the message board over at LetsGoBlues.com to track down their gameday thread from the previous meetup with the Ducks on 3/10, which was a 4-2 come-from-behind victory for Anaheim. After that, I headed over to the Blues' subreddit gameday thread.
Apparently Blues fans really hate that the NHL officials enforce the rules for their team. C'mon guys, you're not the Red Wings, you're not above the law.
Anyway, I can't believe this is not a parody. Enjoy...
I guess the LetsGoBlues.com forums has some sort of curse word filter that replaces some words with "Frank?" Your guess is as good as mine.
1. No one would ever dispute this. We're not belligerent morons, that's for sure. 2. I'm sorry, you did not explicitly blame the ref for these penalties, are you sure you're a Blues fan? 3.. This is also pretty true. 4. & 5. man you guys wouldn't need defense or offense if those dumb refs just let them do whatever they wanted to do. Toe the team line!
Dude, slashing happens all of the time, it's definitely possible.
All Ducks/Blues games are worth three times the points!
Teehee.
