Happy Rush Day!

A whole post for Rush!

Second greatest Canadian export?
Second greatest Canadian export?

Few things have had such a large impact on western society as that of Rush. They are a polarizing band, aka, they suck but there is a large enough contingency out there to defend them regardless. But Geddy Lee's birthday has come around yet again, so it is time to celebrate!

What a sound. Other Rush inspired things:

Now while other pretenders have come out of Canada to try and claim the title of "Greatest Noise of Canada" away from Geddy Lee and Rush, they have all failed. Nickleback, Avril Lavigne, Bryan Adams, Simple Plan, Sum 41, and even Loverboy all fall short. However, this past week saw another great moment in annoying Canadians influencing our lives. I speak of course of the Kings trading for Daniel Carcillo.

Summer's going fast, nights growing colder
Children growing up, old friends growing older

The Kings have been lacking in the "piece of shit so annoying you wished a plague on their whole family" department for a while, but, whoo boy, does Carcillo fit the bill.

Pleasure leaves a fingerprint
As surely as mortal pain
In memories they resonate
And echo back again...

So, I leave it to you, the people, to make the decision. What do you prefer? Dan Carcillo or Rush? There have been many a difficult choice in our time. PC or Mac? Crack or meth? Red sauce or green sauce? None still compare.

What you say about his company
Is what you say about society
Catch the witness, catch the wit
Catch the spirit, catch the spit

Oh Canada.
