This is a reoccurring weekly feature that awards the "El Burrito de la Victoria" trophy to the comments with the most amount of reader "recommendations" from the prior week. All recommendations were tallied just moments before this feature was posted. With any luck, this will encourage you to not only comment more often, but to be funnier.
I'm getting this out a little later than usual today, but please forgive me. Last night was a bit of a wild one. Let's just jump right in to this then...
A quick note about this week's burritos - I have excluded comments from Stace's piece on domestic violence. There were a number of people who shared some intimate things in that thread (such as Spade and HiYonKrak, but certainly not limited to those two) who actually got the highest rated comments, and they deserve a lot of priase for it. But that thread is a serious one, and people being brave enough to open up isn't something I wanted to trivialize with our dumb burrito game. There was also some folks making great points and insightful comments (such as JJ from Kansas, but again not limited to him), and unfortunately there were some idiots making the worst types of comments who were only trying to derail an important post. Most of those were deleted.
So in full disclosure, there were a lot of comments with higher rec-counts than what I'm sharing below, but trivializing them is bad.
With that said...

The Best
In response to a St. Louis fan insisting that he's not racist (because his best friend is black or whatever), and wanting to punch someone in the face for implying otherwise...
"justs makes me want to punch you in the face for your idiotic comment."Why are racists so prone to violence?
Oh hey, I won a burrito two weeks in a row! It's great to be the guy running this, so you can throw out an entire thread of better comments and ensure your own victory.
Honorable Mentions
Here are some other highly-rec'd comments of the past week.
In response to a regretful newcomer vowing to never give another page view to our website full of 12-year-olds...
We know you have many choices when it comes to regional NHL humor blogs, and appreciate your business.

And ievans nails it once again here, regarding California's state flower, the Dogface Butterfly...
Dogface Butterfly is also the least popular member of the Wu Tang Clan.

And finally, apt description of the racist Cardinal's baseball style...
St. Louis baseball: the Reich way
... Stace's first burrito appearance!
The Worst Comment of the Week
...As selected by me, arbitrarily.
This one is a little hard to appreciate without the context of the post he's replying to (this one about Boston by Stace), but here's a newcomer's sad attempt at invalidating all of the points he just read...
5-3, SORRY.
10) Valid.
9) I see the resemblance sometimes.
8) The enforcer responds to dirty plays, doesn’t create them. Blame Ulf Samuelsson for the enforcer role.
7) Dumb.
6) Dumb.
5) Falls under 10.
4) Every team has one.
3) An out-of-town college freshman tweets a racial slur about Subban, and this makes all B’s fans racists?… Nice try.
Montreal booing the National Anthem… Anyone?!
2) You sound like a soccer mom.
1) 3 assists in last nights game. Blood boiling? If the Sharks couldn’t get it together to pull off one PPG during FOUR MINUTES with the Bruins best penalty killer in the box, it’s no wonder why they’ve yet to win a cup.
Good game, everyone. Now start commenting more so that we have better diversity among burrito winners. I'd hate to take my third burrito in a row home...
