It was announced yesterday that Alex Stalock was placed on the Injured Reserve due to a lower body injury and that the Sharks recalled Troy Grosenick from Worchester. Grosenick is 7-2-1 with the Worchester Sharks this season with a .908 sv%. Last season (his first season in the AHL), he was 18-14-0 with a .903 sv%. He has only played 45 games at an AHL level, and considering the fact that the San Jose Sharks look like an AHL team right now, he'll fit in. He played in the NCAA Men's Division I ECAC hockey conference for three years and was named goaltender of the year in 2012.

Now that we know a little bit about his hockey history, let's spend some time getting to know Troy. Just who is Troy Grosenick, anyway? What makes him tick? What are his turn-ons? What are his biggest fears? Naturally, I did some social media stalking to see what this kid is all about.

I studied this picture for a good 20 minutes and I can confirm with 90% certainty that Troy is the one who is dressed like Princess Peach. If my assumption is correct, Troy is now amongst my favorite Sharks players of all time.

I guess it could be worse, he could have Chuck Palaniuk listed

--

His movie list on Facebook is too long to get a good screencap, but it is a Very Standard Dude movie list. It is so standard that he has the movie Waiting.. listed twice, along with other movies such as: Anchorman, Super Troopers, Beerfest, Waterboy, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Wedding Crashers and A Night at the Roxbury. The biggest surprise is that he doesn't like the hockey player favorite Ted.

--

His favorite TV shows consist of three ESPN shows, Survivor, and "anything on MTV". Now I'm not convinced he is NHL ready at all, considering he didn't have Family Guy listed.

--

He's engaged to a lady (who is from Minnesota but corrected her mistake by moving to New York City) and they have a dog named Martin.

His taste in books, movie and tv may not be strong, but his taste in pets is pretty solid. Now let's check out his twitter account

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>starting to figure this twitter thing out</p>&mdash; Troy Grosenick (@TGrose1) <a href="https://twitter.com/TGrose1/status/2511380295">July 7, 2009</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>time to call it a night</p>&mdash; Troy Grosenick (@TGrose1) <a href="https://twitter.com/TGrose1/status/2511607311">July 7, 2009</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

As you can see, he struggled for a good amount of time to figure out twitter and then eventually gave up. This is a quality that the Sharks are looking for in players at the moment.

Ladies, he's taken. I'm sorry.

It took him two years but he finally had a good tweet! The rest of his tweets consist of RTs about college hockey and one RT from NHL Humor because of course. His instagram account is also boring. Now that we know everything there is to know about Troy Grosenick, it's time to watch him sit on the bench for a month until Alex Stalock comes back, while Worchester ultimately suffers due to his absence.

Gameday!

San Jose Sharks @ Tampa Bay Lightning

4:30pm PST

Who Cares Arena

CSN-CA

Prediction:

The Sharks shit the bed hard against the Florida Panthers. It was bad. The Tampa Bay Lightning are amongst one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, which is the Western Conference equivalent of being as good as the Phoenix Coyotes. Sharks win 2-0. Goals from Patrick Marleau and Matt Nieto. Niemi gets injured during warm-ups, Grosenick starts, Brian Hayward is the emergency back-up.

Setting the Tone:

oh. my. god.

Tweet of the Day:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Sharks suck!! I&#39;m just gonna root for whichever team wins the Stanley Cup from now on.......Minus any LA teams....</p>&mdash; David Gray (@GrayMatterOYB) <a href="https://twitter.com/GrayMatterOYB/status/532804179119456257">November 13, 2014</a></blockquote>

Awful Hockey Tattoo of the Day:

Not that bad but I definitely thought the tribal tattoo (which is actually bad) was a continuation of the lightning bolt.
