This is a reoccurring weekly feature that awards the "El Burrito de la Victoria" trophy to the comments with the most amount of reader "recommendations" from the prior week. All recommendations were tallied the day before this feature was posted. With any luck, this will encourage you to not only comment more often, but to be funnier.
Holy shit, we actually had a decent amount of comments on the site again this past wee, just like the good old days. We're finally building up momentum, just in time to lose it all during the All-Star break!
Here's the shit you weirdos liked this week...
Comments of the Week

The Best
The St. Louis Blues' SB Nation blog came in second place this year in the Profanity Rankings (with a .201 FUC metric), and they weren't too happy about it. A commenter was nice enough to point out that...
You should be used to St. Louis coming in second
And it's true! The Blues do finish in second place a lot.
Honorable Mentions
Okay, we have a lot this week.
In a reference to one Battle of California's other prized advanced stats, Ducks blogger emeritus Earl Sleek offered some additional tweaks to our Profanity Rankings...
Now do it by nearby sex offender.
He also had something to say about Devan Dubnyk's trade to Minnesota...
R.I.P. Dubnyk’s outdoor career.
Maple Leafs blog Pension Plan Puppets rose in the Profanity Rankings after I introduced the advanced FUC metric, and it didn't go unnoticed...
Of course PPP does better under advanced stats….
Speaking of FUC,
The best part of these posts are when all the people who don’t know how to curse try to curse a bunch.
Also, people have already been discussing how to cheat the FUC Metric, and I'd like that to stop, please:
STOP TRYING TO GAME THE SYSTEM, ASSHOLES.
And there's a reason we don't care about how often people curse in the comments when pulling the Profanity Rankings...
I discussed this last year with PPP, but fucks per comment is biased in favor of teams with a bunch of loser fans who spend all their times commenting on blogs.
Speaking of the Profanity Rankings, Battle of California is #1:
Last in articles posted but first in fucks given. Good work y’ all.
There's a lot more highly-rec'd comments this week, should I keep going?
it’s not so much the lack of comments, but the fact no one reads BoC
Okay, fine. I'll stop, Dunn.
The Worst
As chosen by me, arbitrarily...
I'm using this slow-witted Devils fan's tweet instead of one of his BoC comments, but rest assured he posted a lot of stupid comments on the blog as well. There were just too many to choose from. He got embarrassed every time he tried to play. Better luck next time!
Hey @JerMeansWell go get your asshole bleached, ya Cali prick. Looks like you've been fooled into thinking you could write!
