Let's talk about you and me.

Hello party people! I'm back for this gameday only, for I am leaving on my honeymoon on Saturday. I hope all is well and that you've been enjoying a Stace-Free Battle of California. I've certainly enjoyed not having to deal with Jared, Ryan and the readers for the past week.

Anyway, the trade deadline was yesterday and it was pretty slow considering a lot of major moves happened in the week prior.

It has become abundantly clear that Doug Wilson still is not sure what his definition of rebuild is. The past week, the Sharks have played like garbage, and looked like they were flushing away their chance at a playoff spot to get a good lottery pick, which is fine, but maybe next time start that NOT in the last week of February. I don't know, I'm not a hockey doctor.

The Sharks' first major move before the deadline was shipping off James Sheppard to the New York Rangers for a fourth round pick. I think my favorite thing about this trade is that James Sheppard's value is lower than Brad Stuart (2nd + 6th) and Douglas Murray (two 2nds). Like most players on the Sharks, Sheppard wasn't really given a chance to be utilized properly, especially his trainwreck tenure as 3rd line center during the playoffs last season. I don't care, I won't miss him, etc. Looks like Dougy is a seller!

Tye McGinn was claimed off waivers by Phoenix. Sharks wasted a 3rd rounder and got nothing back in return. Doug Wilson is now donating to Goodwill.

Old Dougy boy traded away Tyler Kennedy to the New York Islanders for a conditional draft pick in the 2015 OR 2016 draft.

Now, as many of you may know, due to a tweet that was written by Chicago media a couple weeks ago (it said that Stan Bowman expressed interest in acquiring a veteran defenseman like Hannan), I've been fronting a Hannan to Chicago campaign.

So this happened:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DESI FUCK. Burn it all down, fuck off. Doug Wilson is now participating in Cash for Gold scams.

The last move by the Sharks for the day was them acquiring Karl Stollery from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Freddie Hamilton. I don't know, I don't care, I miss Desi.

It became pretty clear by the end of the day and through the acquisition of multiple draft picks, that the Sharks were surprise sellers and DW is looking towards the future. Good. I was worried that Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau's refusal to waive their NMCs over the summer would go unpunished.

Ben Smith scores in his first game as a Shark. The Sharks win 4-0 against one of the best teams in the National Hockey League. THE SHARKS ARE BUYERS DOUG WILSON IS THE BEST STANLEY CUP BOUND 2015 CHOO CHOO

Gameday!

San Jose Sharks @ Vancouver Canucks

7:00pm PST

Mr. Rogers' Arena

CSN-CA

Prediction:

Reportedly the Canucks were frantically calling teams yesterday morning trying to get someone to take Zack Kassian, which is always a good sign, but they had a particularly fruitful deadline. They acquired Cory Conacher in exchange for Dustin Jeffrey, whoever that is. Their last move of the day was acquiring Sven Baertschi from the Flames for a second rounder. This trade was not surprising at all considering that Sven is a thug and would make a great addition to the Hot Poop Map. Considering the Sharks are Stanley Cup bound, it's time for them to regain that playoff spot. Sharks win, 3-1. Goals from Ben Smith, Barclay Goodrow, and Joe Thornton.

Did you know that Ray Ratto is my friend?

Awful Hockey Tattoo of the Day:

I've been staring at this picture for so long wondering if his nipples are crooked or his tattoo. Please advise.
