I assumed that when I woke up this morning, I'd be reading that the Ducks @ Capitals game would be cancelled due to Winter Storm Jonas Hiller. Instead, the game has just been moved up (to 2 PM Pacific), meaning I still have to write this dumb post.
Meanwhile, DC officials are giving the NHL the "not a good idea" face, but much like the league tried to ignore the fans when they demanded Captain John Scott take his rightful place atop the NHL throne, the NHL is ignoring all safety warnings and sending the two clubs out to die in a blizzard. Which isn't too bad, since now that Ryan Garbutt is on the team, at least some good comes out of the whole Ducks franchise dying.
A fitting end to a not so fun season.
Gameday
Anaheim Ducks @ Washington Capitals
Friday, Jan 22, 2016, 2:00 PM PST
Verizon Center - Washington, DC
Prediction
NHL cancels this game right after I publish this post, after it's too late to just be lazy and not write it.
Inspirational Music
To take up space in my gameday posts this season, so that I don't have to write so much, you'll be getting a glimpse of my playlist while I write this garbage.
Today I'm listening to: Mr. Plow
