Country music: an investigation

Country music

A little known fact about Nashville is that it’s a hub for the “country” music genre. See, e.g. Wikipedia:

It is known as a center of the country music industry, earning it the nickname "Music City U.S.A."

And:

Country music is a genre of United States popular music that originated in the Southern United States in the 1920s.

I’m a big fan of popular music, so I decided to investigate this “country” music.

An example of “country” music made famous by Nashville

Ok, seems pretty good. It has “country” right in the name. Let’s give this a shot.

Uggh. That was pretty terrible. But I kind of got the gist of it. Family. Twangy shit.

Conclusion: Nashville sucks.
