Ducks Gameday: Fighting the Microagressions

New, 8 comments

The Nashville Predators are one big offensive mustard stain on America's white T-shirt.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

A microagression is a subtle but offensive comment or action directed at a minority or other non-dominant group that is often unconsciously reinforces a stereotype. The Nashville Predators' jersey is a giant microagression. Observe:

Preds Jersey

As you can see, there are a number of microagressions in their jersey alone. There are lines that look like guitar strings on the numbers, because all people in Nashville know how to play guitar. There is a line of piano keys on the interior of the neck, because the Predators want to perpetuate this stereotype of musical talent. Have you heard country music artist, and Jer's celebrity crush, Taylor Swift? Not all country stars have talent! So rude.

Even their logo is a microagression. Not all predators have long pointy teeth. The one I met was a good Canadian boy who tried to kidnap a child. Don't support the Predators and their subliminal agenda!
