You know, there's only so many ways this can go.
Anaheim can turn this around and eliminate Nashville in the next four to six games.
Of course, this leads to facing San Jose or Los Angeles in round two, where we probably dominate the whole series but still somehow end up in a game seven scenario in which the Ducks completely fold, as has happened the past three post-seasons.
Or we make it out somehow, and head to the Western Conference final, likely meeting up with Chicago again... where we probably dominate the whole series but still somehow end up in a game seven scenario in which the Ducks completely fold, as has happened the past three post-seasons.
Or we could all just save ourselves some time, stress, and heartbreak and bow out now. The end result is the same, and maybe we can all be productive in April for once. Maybe even try out sobriety in May for the first time in 10 years? I'm too busy to keep up with this shit lately, the past three seasons have numbed me so much that I can't pretend to care anymore (wait... am I a Sharks fan now?), and Nashville fans are too boring to even enjoy riling up with trollbait posts.
Let's throw in the towel.
