2017 was an awful year. 2016 was also terrible. 2018? Probably shit also. I mean, the Kings are starting this year off in fucking Alberta, man. What good can possibly come from that?

I mean, there is the possibility they steal Connor McDavid and smuggle him back to Los Angeles in a pet carrier, finally freeing him from Edmonton like Aladdin freeing Genie from his lamp. What would it take to pull that off? Kurtis MacDermid would have only fetched Taylor Hall. Nic Dowd is gone, but that would have only gotten L.A. Jordan Eberle anyways. I think the easy answer is Andy Andreoff for McDavid, straight up.

Andreoff is tougher. He recovers from injuries faster. He has far better bone structure. He can stomach the smell of Milan Lucic. Seems like a done deal.

McDavid could likely slip in as the third line center, though I’d be hesitant with that move. Nick Shore has been very hot lately. At least he would have a familiar face with Jussi Jokinen.

Iafallo-McDavid-Brodzinski would be a quality bottom six line.

Okay, I’m going back to bed.
